How to use this tool
Convert an entire Word manuscript to a major publisher's general submission template — document layout, typography, headings, in-text citations and references together.
- Open “Manuscript format” and upload the editable .docx manuscript.
- Choose a general Springer Nature, Elsevier, IEEE, Wiley, Taylor & Francis or SAGE submission template and the article type.
- Convert: page layout, font, spacing, columns and heading styles are applied; in-text citations and references are verified and rewritten in the profile's citation style.
- Download the converted .docx and review the target journal's current Guide for Authors before submission.
- For an exact journal-specific format, request the separately priced custom service from the Contact page.
Single-column, double-spaced review manuscript with continuous line numbering and Elsevier Harvard references.
General publisher template: These profiles apply common publisher submission conventions. Journals and article types under the same publisher can require different rules; check the target journal's current Guide for Authors after download.
Why not PDF?: PDF does not reliably preserve editable document structure, Word styles, footnotes or field codes. The source Word file is required to preserve tables, equations and figures during full conversion.
Need the exact format of a specific journal?
Journal-specific title pages, section order, word limits, declarations, figure/table placement and custom templates are offered as a separately priced service. Request a quote with the journal's full name and author-guideline link. Word-file submission instructions will be provided after your request is reviewed.
