An institutional licence for your university or team

Everyone who signs up with your institutional email becomes Pro automatically. No setup, no user lists; you follow overall usage on a report page.

Two kinds of licence

Campus licence — for universities

  • Everyone with your university email domain is covered: students, faculty and staff.
  • Pro allowances per person: 750 references and 250 citations a month, no per-search limit.
  • Journal check, evidence finder, manuscript formatting and the other tools are unlimited.
  • A flat annual fee, quoted for the size of your institution.

Team licence — for companies and editing services

  • Each person who signs in with your company email domain takes a seat; the team shares one monthly allowance.
  • For example: 15 users, 12,000 references and 4,000 citations a month. No per-person cap; the shared allowance is the limit.
  • Seats and allowance are sized to your volume.
  • Invoiced in your organization's name.

How it works

1. We register your email domain

Once you accept the quote, we set up your domain (e.g. @uni.edu) and the licence dates. Nothing to install on your side.

2. Users start with their own accounts

Anyone who signs up or signs in with an institutional email is upgraded automatically, including people who already had an account.

3. You follow usage on a report page

You receive a private report link that opens without signing in. It contains no personal data, only totals:

  • Registered members and how many joined during the licence
  • Members active in the last 30 days
  • References checked during the licence and in total
  • Weekly usage over the last 12 weeks and a breakdown by tool
  • For team licences, this month's seat and allowance usage

At renewal time, this is where "how much did we use it?" is answered.

Why it matters: the 2026 thesis study

We checked every one of the 13,961 references in 100 theses randomly selected from those approved in 2026 in Türkiye's National Thesis Center (YÖK). In 53 of the 100 theses, at least one reference has a DOI that resolves to nothing or points to a different publication. These theses had passed their committees and graduate school checks.

Method, limitations and the anonymous dataset are open: read the full study · Zenodo: doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22994564
