About us

The team and the company behind the platform

ReferenceVerify is built by two academics: a computer engineering faculty member working on deep learning and medical image analysis, and a radiologist faculty member. The platform is operated by Medikalai Yazılım Anonim Şirketi (Turkey).

Why we built this

AI tools can produce references that look complete and are entirely fictitious. Fabricated sources are now a separate heading in reviewer reports, and a single unresolvable DOI casts doubt on an entire manuscript.

Checking a bibliography by hand is slow: looking up 30 references one by one takes hours, and details such as author order, publication year or page ranges slip through.

We built a single place that solves both: a verification layer that compares each reference against open scholarly records and shows the evidence behind every verdict.

How we work

What the platform does

It verifies bibliographic references against scholarly databases, checks whether citations really support the claim, finds scientific evidence for unsupported statements, detects AI-fabricated references, and verifies journals and conferences.
